We recognize that we are taking on big...really big.... issues in the arenas of social and environmental justice. Therefore, we consciously and carefully develop strategic relationships with other local and regional organizations so that we can wisely and most effectively facilitate the futures we desire for our communities.
New Mexico
No False Solutions
(We are a founding steering committee member. )
This is a coalition of climate and environmental justice organizations working across the State to demand climate action now and a Just Transition.
The Coalition's main goal is to create awareness of market-based false solutions, which greenwash the climate crisis, while proactively changing the political conversation at the local, state, and regional levels.
NM LAWS
NM LAWS (New Mexico Land, Air, Water, and the Sacred) is a group of Indigenous, frontline and youth organizations and community members taking bold and unprecedented legal action to demand that the state of New Mexico live up to its constitutional duty to control pollution, to protect the fundamental rights of New Mexicans, and guarantee equal protection under the law.
Ring of Fire Cohort
We are 1 of 15 inaugural member of this cohort which allows space for international indigenous trainers to assist communities on learning the impact of carbon pricing and commodification of the sacred.
Public Power New Mexico
This coalition of grassroots organizations throughout our state is working to create a future where our communities can generate affordable, renewable electricity that creates jobs and invests in local economies.
We are part of a national movement to empower our communities to choose our own power and accelerate our transition to renewable energy.
Defend New Mexico Water
This grassroots campaign defends our water from oil and gas waste contamination. Fracking produces four times more toxic waste than actual oil & gas, and they are running out of room to put it all.
We are committed to showing up to defend New Mexico people, land, water and wildlife from becoming a new dumping ground to solve the fossil fuel industry's costly waste problem.
